Handling complex conversations is a tough task, but not when you are equipped with the right tools.
Since feedback culture can be very different for everyone, it’s important to be aware of expected behaviours in the Canadian workplace environment. Positive or neutral feedback in one culture could be considered negative in another. Knowing how to react in the Canadian workplace is a vital soft skill.
You probably already know how to negotiate. Yet, negotiation may look different in Canada. In the world of business, negotiation skills are used in a variety of settings. You may need to negotiate a salary or a promotion or use negotiation skills to secure a sale or form a new partnership.
In this facilitated course, you will work with an instructor and learn how to manage complex conversations in the Canadian workplace. Some examples of these conversations are things like giving and receiving constructive feedback. You are also going to look at strategies needed for effective negotiation. You will examine acceptable practices and effective language for negotiating successfully in the Canadian workplace.
