Soft Skills: Social Interactions

The Social Interactions course is a facilitated course. You don’t want to wait until you arrive in Canada to learn these critical skills.

Course Description

Do you know what “chit chat” is? You may have heard of it referred to as small talk, but whatever term you prefer to use it is ultimately the main pillar of social interactions in Canada – both in the workplace and in your personal life.

Small talk is the basis for nearly all relationships in Canadian society, whether you know someone or not. This makes it a critical skill when you meet others – also known as networking. Networking involves nearly any interaction with others, including finding work, making friends, and obtaining sales leads.

You’ve probably heard that networking is vital in the Canadian workplace, but it is also extremely important as you look for work since it is believed that on average 70% of jobs in Canada are filled through networking!

This means that it is important to learn how to do “small talk” and prepare networking strategies in order to be ready for daily life in Canada.  Our Social Interactions course does exactly that! You don’t want to wait until you arrive to learn these critical skills!

If you have been approved to come to Canada, why not start today by signing up?
