Approved to immigrate to Canada?

Once you’re referred to a SOPA service — like Employment Counselling or FCR Navigator — you’ll get an email from your counsellor to book a time that works for you. If anything changes and you need to cancel or rebook your appointment just let us know as soon as you can. SOPA supports many newcomers, and a missed appointment without notice means someone else loses that time slot.

You can register as soon as you receive your eligibility documents — no need to wait. Our clients join a year before their move, and many join around 6 to 3 months ahead, which works well.

The more time you have with us, the more thorough and flexible your plan can be. With less time, we’ll help you focus on what matters most. The program works best when you can take part in all of it. Together, our sessions, courses, workshops, employment supports, and community connections are here to help you build the knowledge, confidence, and skills you need to settle and thrive in Canada.

Each family member should register separately, with their own eligibility documents and email address — everyone’s settlement and career needs are different. This includes youth: if your children want to explore education opportunities in Canada, our staff can work with them directly to build their own plan.
